Job Title: Ironworker/Installer (Section 3 Worker)
Job description:
This position is responsible for performing on-site installation of structural steel, stairs, railings, frames, canopies, and other miscellaneous metal components; working from shop drawings, handling heavy materials, and ensuring safe and accurate installation in compliance with project requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Installs structural and miscellaneous steel components according to shop drawings and field conditions.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, rigging, and equipment such as lifts and cranes.
- Works closely with the foreman and other crew members to complete daily assignments.
- Performs grinding, drilling, cutting, and minor welding as part of installation tasks.
- Follows company safety rules and OSHA regulations at all times.
- Reports field issues or installation obstacles to supervision promptly.
- Maintains installation area clean and safe in order to comply with job site safety regulations.
- Follows company safety rules and OSHA regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two+ years of experience in iron work or metal installation preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret shop and field drawings.
- Familiarity with tools used in steel installation (grinders, levels, drills, etc.).
- Ability to safely operate lifts, booms, and rigging equipment.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred.
- Welding certificate preferred.
- Personal income during the last calendar year was less than $80,400.

- Lives within 1 mile of the location of the Cartwright Family Apartments project at 17861 Cartwright Rd. in the City of Irvine.
